Pain all over the body, young lady saved from liver cancer
This young lady had been feeling pain in her liver and had seen many Western doctors. The doctors all thought it was not an illness but just a mental reaction. However, based on my diagnosis, she had stage 1 liver cancer. The patient came to seek medical treatment from me in 2004, when she was only 27 years old. Her complexion was slightly yellowish at the first visit. She said she started injecting hepatitis vaccines in 1990, but no antibodies were found in her body. Instead, she experienced pain in her liver. She had seen many Western doctors and taken many X-rays, which showed no tumor at all. According to medical reports, both her liver cancer indicator Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) and liver enzyme indicator Gamma-Glutamate Transpeptidase (GGT) were very high, with her AFP reaching as high as 16, compared with the normal level of below 8. Based on my observation of all her symptoms, I concluded that she had early-stage liver cancer.
She said she often felt an abdominal distension which pressed against her heart. Western doctors thought it was a disease of the spleen and the stomach, but I thought it was caused by her liver’s invasion of her spleen. As long as her liver was cured, her abdominal distension would disappear. In addition, the pain in her liver had lasted for many years, and recently it had become increasingly severe. As the liver relates to vision, her eyesight had also deteriorated. After working for a long time, her vision would become blurred and her eyes would feel tired. During menstruation, a lot of blood clots were discharged on the first day, and the blood amount was quite heavy. When getting up in the morning, her fingers in both hands were usually swollen and tight with difficulty bending. Her shoulder and neck muscles were tight, and her limbs would occasionally cramp, which were problems caused by the main tendon of her liver. Her brain was sluggish, not sharp enough, and she often felt drowsy and wanted to sleep.
Bloating eased and appetite improved
After taking three doses of medicine, patient had significant improvement when I saw her at her first follow-up visit. The yellowness in her complexion had subsided, her complexion had become fairer with reddish and shiny skin. Her body was hot and sweaty, while her eyesight had greatly improved and become brighter and clearer. The patient said that there were times she felt very energetic, which had not been felt in more than ten years. However, there was still some pain in her liver. She could bend her fingers and make fists, her abdominal bloating was relieved, her shoulder and neck muscles were relaxed, her sense of smell became sharper, and her defecation also became smoother. The urine she brought in was purple red, which was stagnant blood brought out from her liver. Once the stagnant blood had come out, problems in various body parts would quickly improve.
At the second follow-up visit, the patient was in a cheerful mood. She felt something moving in her liver. Her abdominal bloating had greatly reduced. She had a great appetite with a strong desire to eat, proving that the Western doctors were wrong by saying there were problems with her spleen and stomach. Whereas, my judgment was that her liver had invaded her spleen, so after her liver was improved, naturally her spleen and stomach would become fine with no more pressure and distension. The tightness of her shoulders and back had almost disappeared, and her whole body felt relaxed. The condition of frequent urination had also greatly improved. She didn’t need to get up to urinate at night anymore. Her bowel movement increased and her defecation was smooth, indicating sufficient kidney energy. One bottle of urine she brought in was dark purple-brown red, similar to the urine colour of stage 4 liver cancer patients, proving that there were plenty of stagnant blood and toxins in her liver. Several bottles were orange-brown, which should be stasis discharged from her heart and brain.
After taking the medicine, the patient felt calm and became not as irritable as before. After the removal of stagnant blood and toxins in her liver, her liver became soothed and unimpeded, and her temperament became gentle. At the third follow-up visit, the patient’s complexion had turned ruddy and her palms were warm, but her head felt very uncomfortable, swelled and numb. In the previous few days, her limbs had also felt numb. Her finger joints were a bit painful when bent and her liver often felt swollen. Two bottles of her urine had turned black, indicating a large amount of toxins in her liver, while three bottles were dark orange red, indicating a lot of stasis discharged from her heart. During the process, her heart would be temporarily weakened and blood supply to her brain would become insufficient, leading to swelling and numbness in her brain as well as numbness and weakness in her limbs. There was also cholesterol, dead liver cells and urate precipitates at the bottom of the bottles, indicating her liver, heart and kidneys were improving.
In the past, the patient’s menstruation had not been regular with a delay of up to one week. This time, her menstruation was only two days late, but it lasted only three days, with no menstrual pain and breast swelling, so she felt more comfortable. At the fourth follow-up visit, the patient did not feel much in her liver, and the pain seemed to have subsided. This time, her urine was very dark with a lot of necrotic liver cells at the bottom of the bottles.
Both breasts felt stinging pain
Although her conditions had progressed, there would be ups and downs, with some pains in certain organs when the medicine was passing through them. For example, the patient’s lower jaw was swollen and a bit painful and her chest and back also hurt. Also, her left breast, which had breast adenomatosis before, felt painful when the medicine passed through there to open up the blockage and bring out the calcified substance. Later, she also experienced pain in her right breast. There was stinging pain like an electric shock in both her breasts. It was painful and the pain did not go away until the ninth follow-up visit.
During the treatment period, the patient’s hair continued to fall out. This was the result of the medicine removing stasis in her head and stagnant blood in her liver, affecting her hair growth. One day, the patient called suddenly, saying she had a serious stomach-ache. Her submandibular lymph was swollen and painful, her breast adenomatosis spot felt pain intermittently, her uterus hurt, and her fingers could not be bent. Her uterus pain could be related to her menstruation, which had just happened. By the 12th follow-up visit, the conditions had alleviated. Her liver pain had eased, her lymph still hurt a little, but not as severe as before, and the adenomatosis in her left breast was also a bit painful. In addition, her shoulder and neck muscles had become tight again, and her fingers remained tight with no improvement. By the thirteenth follow-up visit, the pain in her left breast had receded to its root, which meant most mammary glands had been opened up, but she felt great pain in her left abdomen near her pancreas and spleen.
At the 14th follow-up visit, the patient seemed to have pseudo fever syndrome, with a mild fever and a sore throat. I instructed her to drink dried oyster water and eat snow pears, after which her conditions had improved. Although the pain in her left lymph had eased, a pain suddenly appeared on the right. The pain in her breast had disappeared, but her lower abdomen near in her ovaries had recently become painful, which had happened before. Western doctors had said it was caused by a blockage in her oviduct, but it was also possibly caused by the opening up of the blockage there by the medicine. During menstruation, the patient had leucorrhea discharge with blood streaks and pain in her ovary, which might be caused by the bleeding and inflammation of her blocked oviduct.
At the 16th follow-up visit, the patient said there was pain in her left abdomen near her colon. The last time she had thought that it might be caused by her oviduct blockage, but this time she remembered that it felt the same as the rectal inflammation that she had before. I asked about her defecation. She pointed out that in her stool, there was no blood or mucus but some white streaks. I explained that the pain might be caused by the medicine clearing up accumulated stool in the folds of her intestinal wall. She also said she had had “sleep paralysis” in the previous few nights, and when she woke up, her hands were numb. The urine sample she brought in had a dark orange blood color, indicating necrotic cells discharged from her heart. I thought when blood stasis was discharged, there was insufficient blood supply to her brain nerves, causing the symptom of “sleep paralysis”, which also indicated her heart was weak and overloaded, similar to heart stuffiness. By the eighteenth follow-up visit, her “sleep paralysis” had disappeared and there was no more numbness.
Severe abdominal pain with suspected tumor
At the 19th follow-up visit, two bottles of her urine were almost black, which might be toxins discharged from her intestines. The patient said that in the previous few days, she felt a severe pain in her intestine, which felt like it was “exploding”. Soon afterwards, her bowel became very painful. The urine samples she brought in contained cell tissues and I suspected she had a bowel tumor. Pain had also occurred in her left breast and liver, even the joints and muscles all over her body had also experienced pain.
At the 22nd follow-up visit, the pain in the patient’s body seemed to have come to an end. The torment over the past five months was really unbearable. There was only slight pain in her liver, the pain in her fingers, joints and muscles had also eased. The lymph under her left chin still hurt a bit, but the pain on the right had decreased a lot. The adenomatosis in her left breast was still swollen and painful. There were some changes in her defecation. Every time, her stool was thick, hard and black at first, then it became soft and watery and she felt very tired.
The patient had once had a cervical cancer test (Pepsmear). The wound had bled, and after it stopped, leucorrhea was discharged. Pain remained in other parts of the body as before, but the degree had greatly reduced. At the twenty-seventh follow-up visit, the patient said she felt weak after getting up in the morning. I thought the medicine for cancer treatment might be too heavy and proposed reducing the dosage, but she insisted on using the regular dosage. At the 29th follow-up visit, the patient reported a piece of good news, Her cervix test showed no cancer cells. During menstruation, there was only leucorrhea and no blood streaks. At that point, her hair loss had remained serious, and her hair had become sparser than before. That was mainly because her heart was weak and there was insufficient blood supply to her brain. As described in medical texts, “the heart dominated the growth of hair”. This was also the main reason why the stasis in her brain could not be completely brought out, causing pains in many parts of her body. The ups and downs in the occurrence of pain in different parts of patient’s body was a common phenomenon during the removal process of various toxins and stasis. At the 34th follow-up visit, the patient’s complexion was not bad and her palms were warm. She said she had lost a lot of hair recently that even her relatives and friends could tell. Liver pain also occurred from time to time, but most of the time there was no pain at all. There was still some pain in the lymph in her neck, with the nodes growing larger and harder. The pain remained in her breast and abdomen, with some abdominal pain during menstruation. Since there was mucus in the patient’s stool and she had a pressing feeling after defecation, it seemed there might be polyps or tumors in her large intestine. However, she was reluctant to take a colonoscopy, so she could only continue with the medication for detoxification and tumor dissipation.
Her defecation had not improved until the thirty-fifth follow-up visit. She said her stool had become strip-shaped without mucus, and the pressing feeling had also eased a bit. But in the later stage of treatment, she was very worried about the mucus in her stool. I could see a lot of dark colored mucus from the photos, which did not look like blood. She said every time after defecation, she had the pressing feeling again. Pain in other parts of her body remained, but of course to a much lesser degree. To address her concerns, I told her to take a blood test, which showed her liver cancer indicator Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) was only 0.05 higher than normal, her Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA, indicating mainly colon cancer) was normal, her liver enzyme indicator Gamma-Glutamate Transpeptidase (GGT) was also normal. Her liver seemed very normal.
Although the test result was a piece of good news, or maybe the patient thought she was fine as long as the indicators were good, soon after that, she discontinued the treatment. I knew she had not fully recovered, and it was a pity to stop medication at that point. Nevertheless, at least her liver indicators were good, which had relieved her anxiety. This was not bad. The patient was first diagnosed on 8 June 2004 and the treatment ended on 17 March 2005, spanning ten months with 41 visits.
