Pain reduced and mobility restored, patient sent gold plague as a token of thanks

(Continued from No. 48.1) The patient’s heart and lungs were weak and she often coughed. She was particularly worried about this. I added medicine to her prescription, such as BeiMongolian Milkvetch Root and Pilose Asiabell Root, to supplement and invigorate her qi. After that, her cough reduced. However, after talking a lot with her many friends, she coughed a little more at night, but it was better compared to before. Due to great improvements in her physical conditions, walking was no longer a problem. To express her gratitude, the patient sent me a gold plague with the words “Superb Medical Skills” engraved on it as a token of thanks. Of course I was very happy as it represented patients’ affirmation of a doctor’s medical skills.

The patient also went to the gynecologist for a follow-up visit. The blood test report showed a very high ovarian cancer indicator (CA125), reaching 344, compared with 582 in January 2006 and 208 in May when she first saw me. After taking medicine, her urine was mostly purple-red, which turned black after oxidation, indicating a lot of toxins were brought out from her liver and cysts. During the initial treatment period, due to her poor health and the large amount of toxins brought out, it was very normal for the indicator to rise. However, after ten months and the indicator remaining so high, her gynecologist could not understand. Patient’s whole body Pet Scan showed no hyperactive metabolism caused by cancer. Despite a high ovarian cancer indicator, the patient’s liver function was normal, so it was unlikely liver cancer. After a period of time, the ovarian cancer indicator went down to 128, the lowest level since January. She planned to go for another examination in two months.

One time the patient invited me to a hotel for lunch. It happened that we arrived at the same time. I observed her gait from behind. She walked steadily, holding a crutch in her right hand and being held by her maid in her left hand. I gave her a surprised from behind, praising her how well she walked. To force her to give up her wheelchair, I detained this means of transportation so that she could go out for more walks. For a period of time afterwards, she had not used the wheelchair, only carrying a three-legged stool in case she needed it. The pain in her legs relocated from time to time. Sometimes it was at her inner thighs and sometime at the front muscles. Overall, the pain had reduced by more than 80%.

Detoxification when taking Chinese medicine, indicator elevated

Soon after, the patient took another blood test. Her ovarian cancer indicator suddenly rose to 716, almost 600 higher than the previous level of 128. Her liver enzyme indicator (SGPT) was also higher than normal, while her cholesterol indicator also went up from the last time. I believed the elevated figures reflected the effects of the Chinese medicine, which had brought out many toxins recently. So that the patient would not worry, I explained to her the reason in detail. We should not simply judge from the figures and decided the conditions were getting worse. In fact, her health would improve only with the discharge of more and more toxins. There were many signs of improvement in her conditions, for example, she no longer coughed, the pain in her legs had reduced, she could walk at ease without crutches, she slept and ate well, her complexion was rosy and her skin was moist with lust.

Due to satisfactory progress in her conditions, she became much more confident. When going out for a tea or a meal, she no longer needed a wheelchair. Instead, she had replaced it with a 3-legged-stool, which could be used as a crutch or a stool for resting. Nevertheless, she could already walk so steadily that holding the stool type crutch had become a burden which slowed down her walking speed. I suggested that her maid hold the crutch and she held her maid, so that she could walk more agilely.

At the thirty-second follow-up visit, the patient said she felt cold during the previous few days. She vomited, including the medicine she drank. She often felt bloated and full in her abdomen, and she lost appetite. I said those phenomena indicated her liver was expelling toxins or stagnant blood, the so-called liver invades the spleen and the stomach. Drinking fried rice ginger water would warm her stomach and relieve the feeling of fullness. After that, her abdominal bloating had largely subsided and she felt comfortable. By the thirty-third follow-up visit, everything had returned to normal.

At the thirty-seventh follow-up visit, I saw a small lump in the back of her head. When I pressed it, she cried out in pain. After rubbing it for a while, her legs suddenly bounced up and straightened in a sprawl. It was very strange. By the next follow-up visit, the lump had turned into a strip-shaped, which still felt painful when pressed. I still had no idea about the reason for this, which also occurred before in patients with brain diseases. At the thirty-nine follow-up visits, I found the strip disappear when I felt the back of her head. There was no pain when the area was pressed. At the same time, the pain on the inner side of her right foot had also eased. I suspected that was related to the small lump.

Body underwent changes, feeling rejuvenated

The patient took another blood test. Her ovarian cancer indicator dropped to 340, down by half from the previous level of 716, indicating that she had excreted a lot of toxins in the past half month. The colour of her urine became lighter and lighter. The fibroid in her uterus had shrunk from 6 cm to 4 cm in diameter. Most peculiar was the cyst in her ovary, which appeared sometimes and disappeared sometimes. This time it appeared again, with a diameter of 2 cm.

Recently, we tried a new method to boil the medicine – soaking it overnight before boiling – and the effects seemed very good. I suggested reducing one dose and returning to normal dosage, which she was willing to try. However, two weeks later, the patient’s physical strength deteriorated, her cough recurred, she was often out of breath, and her complexion was no good. So I suggested adding half a dose of the medicine, which yielded very good results.

At this point, the patient had been taking medicine for more than seven months, and there had been some unusual changes in her body, which was “rejuvenation”. The patient told me that her nipples became pink and felt painful, feeling like she had returned to her girlhood when the body was developing. Her breasts began to grow fuller and larger than before. Her vagina vibrated with contractions and seemed to be tightening. Her hair grew so fast her hairstylist said, “you’re getting younger and younger”.

To prevent cancer lesions, the patient checked her body frequently. The latest result showed her liver function indicator was normal, but her ovarian cancer indicator rose to 728. There seemed to be ups and downs in her conditions, with further discharge of toxins in large amounts. A month later, another blood test showed a big drop of her ovarian cancer indicator to 87.34, a little higher than the normal level of 35. Later, another blood test showed a further decline in the indicator to 61.7. I told her the indicator might rebound when her heart was strengthened later, but there was no need to panic. Based on my experience in treating cancer, recovery could not be achieved until all toxins were completed removed from the body.

As the pain in the patient’s legs involved nerve problems, before seeing me, she had seen a neurologist in a public hospital. One time when she took a blood test at a follow-up examination, it showed a positive result for her breast cancer indicator (CA15-3), but this did not mean she really had breast cancer. The Western doctor did not explain the implication of the indicator in detail. I told her the problem for her reference.

Progressed rapidly and returned to normal

At the fifty-fourth follow-up visit, the patient could walk without crutches. She could get up quickly from a sitting position, indicating her brain was in good condition and nerve signals were transmitted smoothly. She liked playing mah-jong and there was one time, her feet were slightly swollen after playing for about ten hours, indicating there was still deficiency in her kidney function. I told her to stop playing mah-jong for the time being. Since her ovarian cancer indicator had dropped to 61.7 and her uterine fibroid had shrunk to 3 cm in diameter, the attending doctor of the public hospital planned to stop treating her after another follow-up. During this period, the patient had actually taken only Chinese medicine, and the effects were remarkable. What worried me the most was her ovarian cyst, which might be related to the rise in her ovarian cancer indicator. A week later, she tested the indicator again, and the result was 69.5.

Previously, the patient had vaginal contractions for several times. She later told me in detail that they felt like the pleasure of vaginal contractions after orgasm, which lasted for up to an hour. They sometimes occurred during sleep, like having a romantic dream. Her nipples turning pink also indicated her physical condition was gradually rejuvenated. Every time a friend, who hadn’t seen her for a long time, saw her said she became more beautiful, while her gait continued to improve. At the 60th follow-up visit, the pain in her left foot had recently become sore and numb, and she couldn’t tell if her left foot was touching the ground or not, which affected her confidence in walking. She asked her maid to help her rub her thigh, and the soreness and numbness gradually eased. I asked her to continue the massage as there must be soreness and numbness before the pain disappeared.

The patient used to have the habit of crossing her legs. During the previous year, she had not done so for a long time due to her illness, but recently she started crossing her legs naturally. Obviously, the pain in her legs had improved. She tested her ovarian cancer indicator again, which suddenly surged to 635.5. This indirectly indicated her heart had been further strengthened and toxins in her ovarian cysts had been discharged in large amount. At the 62nd follow-up visit, with reduced numbness in both her soles, she could walk steadily and securely, without any problem even walking up slopes.

One night, I invited the patient to watch my international standard dance performance. When we left, I told her to walk by herself, but she accidentally fell down. In the end, it took three people to help her up. I arranged for her to sit in a chair and rest for ten minutes. She felt a great pain in her legs, especially her left knee joint. After returning home, she did some exercises, hoping to dissipate the bruise and strengthen the circulation of qi and blood. Every time she straightened her legs, she felt pain. After drinking the medicine, the pain in her legs was relieved, but the inner side of her legs felt tugged and painful. Based on my observations from various aspects, I believed that one week later, her legs should generally return to normal. As expected, her walking improved then. (To be continued)
