Severe tinnitus rapidly improved within a month with Chinese medicine
Tinnitus, Dizziness / Deafness , Medical Case
Severe tinnitus is indeed very annoying, affecting not only sleep but also work. This middle-aged man had suffered from this disease for more than four months. Only the patient himself knew how painful it was. He came to me for consultation in 2011 when he was forty-three years old. He was tall and a little fat. His complexion was greenish and yellowish. His eyes had visible white between his iris and lower eyelid. He said at the end of the previous year, he took a flight back to Hong Kong and his right ear suddenly became deaf due to air pressure. After returning to Hong Kong, he immediately saw two otolaryngology specialists, both saying it was sudden deafness. One of them treated it with steroids, while the other used antibiotics, but none of them worked. He switched to a Chinese medicine practitioner, who said that it was caused by his weakness, coldness and kidney deficiency. After taking Chinese medicine, his hearing recovered, but he had high-frequency tinnitus. In addition, he felt a beating below his ear many times a day. Sometimes, he even heard a beating sound, mainly caused by blockage in his right ear nerve by blood stasis, which synchronized with his heartbeat. When the stasis in this area was removed, the beating would disappear. In addition, Chinese medicine believes that the kidneys are related to the ears. As long as his heart and kidneys were strengthened and consolidated, the disease would be cured.
The patient had always paid attention to his health. In 2008, he checked his liver function and found his liver enzymes relatively high. Not long ago, he checked his large intestine and found some polyps, which were cured with surgical resection. His shoulder and neck muscles were often tight in the morning. He had difficulty turning his head from side to side and he felt dizzy occasionally. He only had nocturnal penile tumescence two or three times a month and his scrotum were slack. In the previous two years, he was less capable than desirable in terms of sexual activity, which he could only finish hastily. He could not sleep at night without having a midnight snack beforehand.
When I took his pulse, it was weaker on his right hand compared with his left and were deep pulse. His rapid heartbeat indicated blockage in his brain by blood stasis. Insufficient oxygen supply resulted in accelerated heartbeat to boost blood supply to the brain. He was easily affected by work pressure and was a bit depressed. I tested the hearing of both his ears and found his right ear indeed weaker than his left. The visible white in his eyes might be caused by the obstruction of his optic nerve, which controlled the movement of his eyeballs, by blood stasis. It was estimated that after the removal of such stasis, the white would disappear.
Tinnitus relieved and vision became clear
Right after drinking medicine, the patient fell asleep. He felt a surge of energy going straight up to his head and shocked his right ear. He heard a popping sound and the beating under his ear reduced by half. A week later, it was 80% to 90% recovered. The high-frequency tinnitus faded and gradually changed into low-frequency. At the first follow-up visit, most urine samples the patient brought in were orange-brown, indicating stasis had been accumulating in his heart and brain, while cholesterol deposits were found in other bottles. He said his nocturnal penile tumescence was particularly strong on the first two days and became weaker on other days. He used to urinate three times a night, but now he could sleep until dawn. I asked him about his shoulders and neck and he replied the muscles were relaxed and his head could turn freely. He also said after having medicine, his vision became brighter and clearer than before. This was the result of getting enough sleep and having enough blood for his brain. Furthermore, he didn’t feel like having midnight snack before going to sleep at night.
After taking eleven doses of the medicine, his situation had significantly improved, especially his kidneys. He realized that when he was at work recently, his back was straight and he didn’t feel tired from sitting for a long time, indicating his kidneys were strengthened and the back became strong. Moreover, nocturnal enuresis disappeared and he went to the toilet less frequently, also demonstrating the abundance of energy in his kidneys. Previously, he had to defecate several times and sometimes feeling there was always unfinished defecation. This was due to a lack of kidney energy. Now he could finish defecating in one go, indicating his kidneys had been strengthened with sufficient energy. The patient had suffered from nasal allergy. I instructed him to drink a cup of white pepper water every morning to drive away the pathogenic influence. As the treatment continued, after his heart, liver and kidneys were strengthened, the nasal allergy problem would gradually alleviate or even disappear completely. When his renal function was strengthened, his tinnitus, which was related to the kidney function, should also be reduced.
At the fourth follow-up visit after the patient returned from a business trip in Taiwan, his overall condition was very good. He smiled from time to time, no longer depressed by work pressure. His right ear could hear without the feeling of being blocked by a piece of paper. Compared with his left ear, its hearing had recovered about 90%. The beating under his right ear was getting lighter and lighter, or even non-existent. In only a month, patient had shown rapid progress and it surprised many people. However, the tinnitus still recurred from time to time, sometimes louder, sometimes lighter, and disappeared completely after a while. Compared with the time when he first came to me, it had improved 50% overall. There was one time when he went to Singapore for a business trip, his eardrums did not feel the air pressure on the plane. He put on the noise insulating earphones, the noise became much quieter, and he could hear the sound of bubbles rising into his ears, which should be an indication of the medicine reaching the blockage in his ear nerve. At the sixth follow-up visit, the patient said he could listen to the phone with his right ear without any problem.
Sexual activity improved and penis lengthened
Although the patient’s kidney function had been strengthened, it had not yet returned to normal. He had nocturnal penile tumescence every day with a firm penis, but he had no sexual desire and no motivation for sexual intercourse. At the seventh follow-up visit, he said he had an intercourse, but only for a short time and he gave it up halfway. It was not his best condition and his penis did not feel any change. By the tenth follow-up visit, there was a great improvement. During intercourse, his erected penis was twice as long as before. Although it was premature, the ejaculation was strong with abundant semen.
Two months after the first visit, the patient’s wife and friends said his complexion had become rosy and shiny. Feeling energetic, he started to run, for half an hour every time. After sweating heavily, he felt refreshed without short of breath, indicating his physical fitness had improved significantly. He felt hot in his whole body and the cold didn’t bother him. He suddenly told me that he had resigned and was about to leave the company where he had worked for more than ten years. I said, “you have a family and have worked in this company for so long. You must have great courage to make this decision. Only a strong heart can make such a decision.” I said so as this could be observed from the colours of his urine. Many samples he brought in were orange and dark orange-brown, which indicated blood stasis had been brought out from his heart and brain. After the discharge of the blood stasis, new cells would grow in his heart. Only people with strong hearts could make courageous decisions.
Feeling sad a few days before leaving his old company, the patient was very emotional which affected his sleep. At the eleventh follow-up visit, he looked haggard, the muscles in his right shoulder were tense and his right arm was sore. He kept stroking the affected area with his left hand. The beating under his right ear and tinnitus in his right ear had also slightly worsened. Before going to bed at night, he would suddenly feel hungry and could not fall asleep without eating a biscuit. A week later, there was no significant changes in the beating and tinnitus in his right ear. Since he went to bed early, he didn’t feel any abnormality, but when he woke up in the morning, he could hear the beating under his ear. That week, he felt dryness in his mouth. It turned out that he often drank water and distilled water. Ordinary water has a cold nature and is bad for the kidneys, so I told him to switch his habit to drinking warm water. He felt his heart strengthened that he could walk up four floors in one go without panting.
At the 12th follow-up visit, the patient was lethargy that morning. He felt cold inside his body, discomfort in his head and aches in all his muscles. He seemed to have a fever and a cold, but I thought it was caused by the discharge of a lot of stasis and toxins from his heart recently, which sent shocks to his central nervous system, reflecting with a pseudo fever syndrome phenomenon. I immediately asked him to bite a piece of winter ginger, drink medicine in the clinic, then close his eyes. He went home afterwards and at 5 o’clock in the evening, he called and said he was very uncomfortable. I told him to come and get cold medicine immediately, just in case. That night, he took the cold medicine before dinner and the main medicine after the meal. At eleven o’clock that night, he called and said his fever had slightly reduced. On the following day, he became slightly better. A day later, his fever had gone and he only had a sore throat. I told him to eat one or two bretschneider pears and the sore throat would disappear.
Beating and tinnitus in ear 70% cured
By the 17th follow-up visit, the beating and tinnitus in his right ear continued to improve, having recovered by about 70%. With the beating reduced, he could easily fall asleep. The high-pitched tinnitus gradually became low, the sound seemed farther and becoming hardly interfering. This was his best condition since he was first visit. Regarding sexual activity, his penis grew longer and thicker and each intercourse lasting for three minutes, much better than one minute during the beginning of the treatment.
The patient’s conditions were getting better and better. He walked up 200 stairs and then continued running, without needing to stop and rest, proving his heart continued to improve. He ran four times a week and after that, he sweated heavily without feeling tired. At the 21st follow-up visit, I asked him how many years younger his condition felt, and he replied “three years”.
Before the 22nd follow-up visit, the patient called and said he felt his head swollen with a frequent beating under his ear, which made him very uncomfortable. I explained that the accumulation of stasis in his right brain had not been fully discharged. I taught him to do a squatting exercise, for ten to twenty times in a row at a fast pace. Two hours later, I called to ask about the condition and he said excitedly that the swelling in his head was healed without any medicine. I explained that the exercise had accelerated the supply of blood to his brain and the removal of blockage.
Five weeks Later, I asked the patient again for how many years younger his physical state felt. He said without hesitation “at least seven years”. He didn’t expect such a notable improvement in his health after half a year of continuous medication. At the 30th follow-up visit, the patient said nasal water flowed into his throat during sleep, which woke him up to cough and spit sputum. I suggested that he drink white pepper powder water. After trying that, his chest felt relieved and his breath became smooth. I told him to drink it more. When his heart was strengthened, his nasal allergy would be eliminated. I also suggested that he drink deer tail soup to strengthen his back and kidneys.
At the thirty-sixth follow-up visit, the patient had a pseudo fever again with a sore throat. He was feeling fatigued and felt like vomiting. Two days later, he became fine. He felt no more beating under his ear, but the tinnitus remained the same, which had of course become much better than before. However, at the following visit, his tinnitus seemed to have worsened again. At the 40th follow-up visit, in addition to high-frequency tinnitus in his right ear, there was also low-frequency tinnitus, which made it difficult for him to sleep. Unfortunately, the situation deteriorated a week later. He ran every morning and might have caught a cold. I suggested that he eat more Indian curry to get rid of the blockage caused by the cold wind which entered his head through his ears when he ran. However, the patient stopped taking medicine after another follow-up visit. I felt it was a pity as his progress had been good, but he gave up treatment only because of the minor ups and downs in his conditions. Though it was not a total loss of previous treatment, it was a pity that his disease was not completely cured! The patient was first diagnosed on 19 April 2011 and up to 17 February 2012, he had forty-five treatments spanning about ten months. I was very satisfied with the improvement in his tinnitus. I was particularly happy that he felt seven years younger than before taking the medicine, which was rarely achievable. Later, the patient introduced a Norwegian patient who came for treating his Myasthenia Gravis caused by a coronary artery bypass surgery. After being cured, he continued to ask his friends to get medicine from me to mail to him in Norway for health maintenance until now.
